This sub-category of science fiction was first defined by author Nnedi Okorafor in 2019. Okorafor, who is considered the biggest star in the genre, has written several best-selling books, including Who Fears Death, which is currently being developed into a TV series for HBO.
In this talk, Nnedi Okorafor will explain the background to the genre, which is constantly gaining new ground, also in Norway and Bergen.
