Johannes Anyuru and Abubakar Adam Ibrahim meet the editor of Vinduet, Priya Bains, to discuss what truth means to them in life and in writing, and how they arrived at the subject of the essay they have written.

In collaboration with the magazine Vinduet, LitFestBergen has invited four authors from four different continents to write new essays on the festival theme ‘truth’. Swedish author Johannes Anyuru writes about the images from the war in Gaza, and how we see that many believe the suffering is manufactured and therefore untrue. Abubakar Adam Ibrahim from Nigeria examines the paradoxical nature of truth with the advent of his father’s death..
