Feminist Storytelling: Gender and Technology. Acting out the Future of Ethics
In this workshop artist Michael Laundry invites us to a discussion about narrative ethics as a starting point for considering feminist subjectivities related to technology and future concepts of gender.
Parts of the workshop will consist of techniques such as Playback Theatre and Theatre of the Oppressed, which have been used as dramatic tools for conflict resolution.
We will also use text, primarily drawn from The Xeno Feminist Manifesto by Luboria Cubonics. Through a process of negotiated close readings and playful interventions, we will use performing arts, tools and literary interpretation to consider concepts of citizenship, technology and identity.
